Talent is everywhere.
Opportunity should be, too.

MQNOVA Foundation is a non profit association that runs a scholarship program for high school students. We bring our community together around a simple purpose: helping young people continue their education with confidence.

The costs of school can add up quickly. Books, uniforms, technology and learning activities can become barriers, even when a student is motivated and ready to learn. Our scholarship approach focuses on practical support and the individual circumstances behind each application.

We see the effort behind the grades, the person behind the application and the possibilities ahead.

Opportunity

Help students access the tools and experiences they need to participate in school.

Encouragement

Recognise commitment, improvement and the courage to keep trying.

Trust

Build a program around fair decisions, responsible stewardship and student wellbeing.

Practical support.
Room to grow.

Fourteen scholarships help with school costs for the 2027 school year, alongside opportunities to build confidence, skills and connections.

Always.

The program should be a positive experience for students and their families, with clear expectations, respectful communication and responsible decisions.

Who is MQNOVA Foundation?

MQNOVA Foundation is a non profit association that runs a scholarship program for high school students. Its purpose is to support access to education and help young people pursue their learning goals.

Are applications currently open?

Applications for 2027 scholarships are open from 1 to 30 November 2026. Apply through the online application form on this website.

Does my child need top grades to apply?

No. The selection process considers effort, improvement, circumstances and the impact of support. Academic results may provide context, but top marks are not required.

How much support is available?

There are 14 scholarships for the 2027 school year: one of $2,000, three of $1,000 and ten of $500. Each covers approved education costs for one school year. Mentoring and other activities are still being finalised.

Is there a fee to apply?

No. Applying is free.

How would the scholarship funds be paid?

The draft proposes payment directly to a school or approved supplier against invoices for agreed education costs. It does not propose cash payments to students or families. Final payment rules will be included in the scholarship terms.

Can a student apply again in a later year?

The reference proposes that eligible students may reapply while in Years 7–11. Renewal would be subject to review, ongoing eligibility and available funding. A first scholarship does not guarantee continued support.

Can a teacher nominate a student?

A school can help a student and their parent or guardian prepare an application. The application names a teacher or school leader as referee, and we contact them by email. Student and guardian consent should be obtained before personal information is shared.

Are donations tax deductible?

No. MQNOVA Foundation is not a registered charity and does not hold deductible gift recipient (DGR) status, so donations are not tax deductible. A business with an ABN that sponsors the foundation may be able to claim the sponsorship as a marketing expense. Please seek your own tax advice.

How can I help if I cannot donate money?
